How we make them

One charm at a time.

We collect vintage bag hardware, buttons and charms one at a time — estate sales, dealers in Paris, New York and Miami, the occasional lucky bag of buttons — and upcycle them into necklaces. Each one is checked, cleaned by hand, finished in 24k gold plate, and strung to order.

01 — Collect

Vintage bag hardware, buttons and charms, 1980s–90s, brass under the original gilt.

02 — Check and finish

Hallmarks, back stamps, construction, then 24k gold plate over the original brass. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.

03 — String

Waxed silk cord with sliding knots, adjustable 15–25 in, or a 32 in cable chain with a spring-ring clasp.

04 — Send

Strung to order and delivered in 1–3 weeks, in a black box with a card noting the decade and the charm's origin. Free shipping in the US.
