Sizing, care, and the honest part

Are the charms real vintage?

Yes. Every piece is vintage bag hardware, a button, a charm or a chain belt from the 1980s–90s, authenticated by hallmark and construction, then upcycled. We finish and string them; we didn't make them. Maison Dorée is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any fashion house.

How many of each do you make?

A handful. Each design is made in small numbers from the vintage pieces we have on hand, so when a design sells out it may not come back.

How long is the cord?

The silk cord has two sliding knots, so it goes from 15 in (at the collarbone) to 25 in (below the chest). Chains are 32 in with a spring-ring clasp; wear them long or doubled as a short two-strand.

How do the belts fit?

Chain belts hook at any link, so they sit at the waist or drop to the hips. Each listing gives the medallion size; email us your waist measurement and we'll confirm the fit before it ships.

Is it real gold?

Every gold piece is finished in 24k gold plate over the original vintage brass, applied after cleaning. It is plate, not solid gold, so keep it off perfume, take it off to swim, and wipe with a soft cloth. Don't polish.

How long does delivery take?

1–3 weeks. Each piece is strung to order and packed by hand, then shipped USPS with tracking; we email you the day it goes out. Shipping is free in the US.

Returns?

Returns must ship back within 5 days of delivery, unworn, in the box. A 25% restocking fee is deducted from the refund and you cover return postage. Exchanges are possible while the same piece is still in stock; email us first.

Can I get a specific charm on a chain instead of cord?

Usually. Email hello@maisondoree.co with the piece and we'll tell you the same day.
